Department Description:

The Maury County Highway consists of 50 versatile employees. If we are unable to keep the County roads safe and in passable condition all other Governmental Departments in Maury County will suffer.  Better road system will only increase the value of Maury County property.  Our Department understands the complaints called in concerning damages to vehicles, land, residence and safety to family members due to poor road conditions and drainage problems, our Department is here to try to alleviate their concerns. 

Maury County roads have improved from 271.13 miles of asphalt roads to 308.59 miles of asphalt; 389.52 miles of oil/chip roads to 477.27 miles of oil/chip and 156.14 mile of gravel or chert road to only 30.96 miles of gravel roads.
