Pavilions & Playgrounds

Maury County Park has eight (8) pavilions: Kiwanis, Rotary, Bridle & Saddle, Jr. Order, Jaycee, Civitan, Jr. Order and Monsanto.  MCP has two (2) playgounds - Kids Kingdom and Jared's Dream. Williams Spring Park has three (3) pavilions: Barker, Bailey and Rattle & Snap and one (1) playground.  Chickasaw Trace Park has two (2) pavilions: Hanson and Knob Creek with one (1) playgound.  Hampshire Park has one (1) pavilion and one (1) playgound.  All pavilions have electricity, a small outdoor grill (some are being replaced, so please ask at time of reservation) and access to a water spigot.

Sports Fields

MCP has several sports fields, including Lindsey Nelson Stadium, the Columbia American Little League fields, and the Babe Ruth field.

Equestrian Area

MCP offers an extensive equestrian area with two arenas, stall barns, and the Skillington Livestock Barn.

Trails

In June 2012 , a 1-mile hiking trail and natural area was opened, and plans are in process to eventually link this trail to the existing 1 1/2-mile paved walking trail.  In 2015, an extension to the trail was completed as an Eagle Scout project. 

Trains

MCP is also home to the miniature trains of the Mid-South Live Steamers, who host meets at the park and give free rides to the public.

Facility reservations cannot be made over the phone; however, you can check availability by calling (931) 375-6101.  

Pavilion reservations are made by the day, the cost is $30.00, and can only be done by bringing the fee (exact cash or check only) to the Parks Office located at 1018 Maury County Park Drive, Columbia, TN 38401.  For any other MCP&R facility, please download the Event Proposal Agreement (pdf), print, complete and return via fax to (931) 375-6119.
