Launched in 2014 with great success, Compass is a court offered mentoring program that is a community wide initiative. The goal and purpose of Compass is to help juveniles "find direction and purpose". Meetings are a combination of guided individual reflection as well as group discussion and activities. It is a very simple model; the first hour is a meal that encourages fellowship and dialogue and the second hour is educational. Programming focuses on self esteem, personal responsibility, decision making, conflict management, community engagement, peer relationships, etc.
A new initiative launched in 2017, a partnership between Compass Mentoring Initiative and Maury County Schools. Two Maury County schools have a program operating during the school day, one time per week.

Pathfinders is a program that operates during the summer months and provides a safe place for young people ages 12-17. Students will learn important life skills and also find ways to impact the local community. Students share a meal each week, participate in educational programming and complete service projects. If you are interested in having your child attend this program please contact Jeff Kane.
