What does it take to get a Maury County Public Library Card?
Three Simple Steps! (Your first library card is FREE)
1. Valid ID
2. Proof of your current Maury County Residence (i.e. water bill, lease, cable bill etc...)
3. Fill out the library card application (Click Here) and the Civil Rights paper (Click Here) and turn both in
at your local branch of the Maury County Public Library system.
Library Amenities: (All free with your library card)
Public Access Computers (2 hour time limit once per day)
Free WIFI (Not limit or password required)
Audio Books (CD's & Playaway MP3 Devices)
Fiction & Nonfiction Books (25 Item Limit)
DVD's (5 Item Limit)
Young Adult Books
Children's Library (Story time Tues. Wed., Thurs. at 10:00 am)
Summer Reading Program
Faxing ($2.00 per page to send, $1.00 per page to receive)
eBooks, Audio Books, and Streaming Videos (With your library card free on reads.lib.overdrive.com)
Computer Lessons (By appointment only 931.375.6508)
Inter Library Loans (Books acquired through other libraries at no cost to you)
Other Library Programs Such As: Author Signings, Talks, etc... Announced On Our Events Page
Loan Periods: Most of the items in the library checkout for two (2) weeks and may be renewed two (2) times, however there are exceptions to this rule.
DVD's and Play-Away Views may only be borrowed for a period of one (1) week and may be renewed (1) time.
Renewals: As mentioned above, several of our items can be renewed. This can be done by coming in, calling, or by going onto our website (www.maurycountylibrary.org).
Borrowing Limits: Patrons are limited to twenty-five (25) items per library card. That 25 may consist of any combination of the following:

***Note: Out of county residents possessing a library card from their county library with a TLC (Tennessee Library Card) sticker on their card may obtain an MCPL library card at no cost but are only permitted to check out ten (10) items per card.
Fines: The library charges a fee of $.25 per day on overdue items with a maximum fee of $5.00 per item. Patrons with fines may not check out if their fines exceed $5.00.
Patrons with any fine may not use the public access computers until fines are paid, and the account shows a zero balance.
