Beer Permits

The Maury County Beer Board issues beer permits for businesses located in the county but outside the city limits of the municipalities. The county legislative body appoints individuals to its beer board. The Health and Environment Committee serves as the beer board for the Maury County Commission.  The committee meets on the first Monday of the month.

Proximity Rule

The county legislative body decides upon the distance rules which the State allows the counties to enact.

Application Submission

Applications for beer permits are submitted to the County Clerk's Office with a fee of $250 (non-refundable). Applicants should sign application upon arrival at Clerk's office, so that signatures may be notarized. A legal notice must be published in the local newspaper approximately 10 days before the committee meets.

Applications as well as additional information can be reviewed under Beer Permit Information Documents.
