*  What are your hours of operation?
​      Our office is open 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.  
      Our office does not close for lunch.  
      Marriage Licenses and Business Licenses are only processed from 8 am to 4 pm. 
      Our office will close at 4 pm on the 1st Friday of each month.

​*  Where are you located? 
​      Our address is 10 Public Square.  We are on the corner of East 7th Street and the Public Square.

​*  What is the cost to renew my license plates?
​      The cost to renew a passenger plate is $54.  Specialty plates and    
​       personalized plates are $90.  H1 Commercial plates are $100.25.

​*  What forms of payment do you accept?
​       We accept cash, checks from a local bank and credit or debit cards.

​*  Is this where I renew my drivers license?
​       No.  The drivers license office phone number is 931-380-2548.

​*  Can I renew a license plate for someone else? 
​       Yes, just provide us with the renewal notice, the last registration or the license plate number.

​*  What do I need to bring if I have moved from another county? 
​       You will need to provide us with the last registration and proof of residency in Maury County.

​*  What do I need to bring if I moved from another state?
​        If the vehicle is paid for, you will need to provide us with the title for the vehicle and proof of residency
​        in Maury County.  If you are making payments on the vehicle, bring in your last registration along with       
​        the name and address of the lien holder and proof of residency in Maury County.

​*  When I am selling a vehicle does the new owner keep the plate?
​        No.  Your plate belongs to you and does not transfer to the buyer of the vehicle.

​*  Do you notarize documents?
​        Yes, but only for documents pertaining to the County Clerk's office such as a bill of sale.  The notary must see you sign the 
        document, and you will need to provide a photo id.
