Aunt Mary Latham is AOP Nicholson’s daughter Mary Gordon Nicholson (1843-1912). Her son by her second husband, Henry Bacon Estes (1838-1888), is Marion Edward Estes (1882-1949). Her third husband was Woodville Latham, Jr. (1837-1911). June Nicholson Thomas was born Irene Smith (1883-1952) and married AOP Nicholson III, who died in 1909 and with whom she had Mary Cannon Nicholson (1908-1981). She then married J. Lemuel Thomas (1871-1937).

MGS is Mary Gordon Stimson (b. 1877 in Columbia, TN), a grandchild of AOP Nicholson via his daughter Anna Nicholson Gordon (1851-1939). MGS was a resident of Los Angeles, California. Photo dates from ca. 1954.

Love to all." Dated 1909. Most likely it is Irene Smith Nicholson (1883-1952), wife or perhaps already widow of AOP Nicholson III, with baby Mary Cannon Nicholson (1908-1981) on her lap. Uncle Alf is AOP Nicholson, Jr. (1841-1915), son of AOP Nicholson and father of AOP Nicholson III (1874-1909).

The photo shows Marion, the younger, in the middle with Alfred on the right. It was taken in ca. 1895.
