Library Board Meetings
The Maury County Public Library’s Board meets at 5:30pm on the 4th Tuesday of every month inside the MCPL Columbia branch location, unless otherwise specified.

Library Board Applications
Maury County Public Library is not currently recruiting new board members to carry out its mission "to serve as Maury County’s cultural epicenter by providing equitable access to information, literature, technology, art, and culture." MCPL is looking for individuals who can represent the diversity of Maury County’s growing community. Board members are responsible for planning and executing key 2020-2021 projects:
- Building expansion
- Educational programming for more diverse age groups, cultures, and socio-economic backgrounds
Estimated time commitments:
- Monthly board meetings (1.5 hours per month)
- Special events: including but not limited to fundraising and planning sessions (2 hours per quarter)
- Special projects (2 hours per month)
The Maury County Public Library is an essential part of the community. It is important that applicants have time to advocate for the library.
