921 Lion Parkway
Columbia, TN 38401
Sitting just outside the entrance to Maury County Park, the Lindsey Nelson Stadium hosts a variety of sporting and band events throughout the year. The stadium is named for Columbia native, Central High School graduate, and one of America's best known sports-casters, Lindsey Nelson. The field is named for longtime Central High School football coach who was instrumental in its construction, Jim Cartwright. The press box is named for local sports writing icon, Marion Wilhoite. The first games were played at the stadium in 1959, which has undergone several renovations over the years including bleacher renovations in 2010 and new LED lighting in 2018.
