Internet for rural areas in Maury County

United Communications, Duck River Electric, Maury County Government, and Maury County citizens worked together to successfully become one of the largest Broadband Infrastructure grant recipients in the State of Tennessee. Maury County sent in more letters of support for the grant than any other county in Tennessee.
The grant of $17 million, plus $3.7 million from Maury County as well as $3.7 million from United Communications for a total of $24,663,826 to build fiber internet in Maury County. Approximately 3,978 locations will be served high-speed internet within Maury County. Projected completion 2023-2024.
